Matchmaker, matchmaker, make me a match...this is where our story begins. After being widowed, we decided that we wanted someone to share our life with again—someone to laugh with, enjoy life with, and make new memories together. We felt a strong connection during our first date at Brio , which has only strengthened over the past year.

Our careers in healthcare and love of Disney helped solidify our relationship. We spent countless hours discussing how to improve healthcare while walking the Disney parks and waiting for rides. Michele introduced Mark to the Fitbit app, and Mark introduced Michele to the beauty of Highlands, North Carolina. There's always a competition to see who can get the most steps in a day, and we found that hiking in the mountains of North Carolina is a lovely way to make those steps count.
